Dr. Tony Mennito graduated from Temple Dental School in 2003 and moved to Charleston the following week as his wife, Sarah, was beginning her Pediatric residency at MUSC. Dr. Mennito practiced 90 minutes away in Bamberg. Their son, Sam, was born in 2007, and in 2009 he began teaching at MUSC College of Dental Medicine.

At the Medical University, he found a love of teaching that has only grown stronger. Over the past 10 years, while teaching and practicing dentistry, he has done the research, patented a dental material, started a biotech company, published 17 clinical papers, and began an international speaking career focusing on dental technology and materials.

He is excited to join a new group of mentors and partners at Expertise Dental, all focused on a common goal–providing the best dentistry for our patients, using modern technology and techniques to make sure that your oral health stays in great shape.

Dr. Swanson graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2007 and went onto complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Florida. Her focus is treating complex dental problems, esthetic concerns, TMD issues, sleep issues, and wellness. She was awarded her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and has also completed a Sleep Medicine residency at the University of the Pacific. Her passion shines through her detailed work, love of working with interdisciplinary teams, and the genuine care with which she treats patients. She loves creating and re-building smiles, from conservative touch-ups to complete smile makeovers. She practiced in La Jolla, California for the past ten years; owning, building her business, and working with her team were highlights.

In 2021 she and her husband Brit are excited to return to her roots in South Carolina and practice with Expertise Dental. Dr. Swanson loves to travel, enjoys mission work, mentoring dental students, everything outdoors, and most importantly spending time with friends and family. She is truly grateful to love what she does and it is her pleasure to take care of you and your needs.

Dr. Julie Driscoll's passion for artistry and admiration of the natural sciences drew her to the field of dentistry. Through artist's eyes and attention to detail, she can envision and execute patients' goals and dreams. Upon graduating from the Medical University of South Carolina, she was awarded the Academy of General Dentistry Senior Student Dental Award for having the greatest knowledge and proficiency in general dentistry. Dr. Driscoll then served as Chief Resident during an advanced dentistry residency at UNC-Chapel Hill.

Dr. Driscoll’s love of travel, service, and dentistry led to numerous mission trips, where she was able to utilize her fluency in Spanish to connect with patients. Dr. Driscoll is committed to clinical excellence in the fields of general and cosmetic dentistry to help patients cultivate self-esteem simply by improving smiles, allowing patients to take better care of their systemic health and pursue their dreams.
