Is there any difference between Aesthetic and Esthetic Dentistry?

Cosmetic Dentistry is often referred to as Aesthetic or Esthetic Dentistry. While most people are more comfortable with the term "cosmetic dentistry", the words aesthetic or esthetic are more fitting adjectives for the type of dentistry that someone considering a Smile Design by Dr. Seay should use. Why is this the case? By adding the letter "a" to esthetics, you are simply creating a variant of the same word by definition. Both words mean technically the same thing. They both appreciate a heightened sensitivity to beauty. Probably not a bad characteristic for a Cosmetic Dentist to have. Dr. Seay has a love for beauty, not in the sense of vanity, but rather in the sense of beauty itself. Whether you favor the word "aesthetic dentistry" or "esthetic dentistry", it is important to understand the philosophy that either word embodies. If things can be more beautiful, then why wouldn’t you want them to be just that? An appreciation for beautiful dental restorations drives Dr. Amanda Seay artistic passion. Whether it is a crown in the back of a patient’s mouth or their front tooth, Dr. Seay simply wants things to be as beautiful as earthly and humanly possible. Add the A or drop the A, it doesn’t make a difference to Dr. Seay. Even though a letter may be compromised, high quality, dental work will not.

So is Dr. Seay an "Aesthetic Dentist" or an "Esthetic Dentist"? Either way, beauty will be infused into any restorative or cosmetic treatment that Dr. Amanda Seay provides. She couldn’t stand to have it any other way.
